Updog!

Today the campus I work on suffered a sudden power outage which lasted for about 30 minutes or so.

Once the power returned my boss complained about his Linux box’s uptime which prompted a co-worker to ask about what uptime meant and why it was important.

I was so tempted to pull out the old “updog” joke by saying to my boss “well, my Mac has at least 6 months of updog,” but I held off.

A few seconds later I casually mentioned that I decided against making the joke and wouldn’t you know it, my co-worker asks “what’s updog?”

It was excellent.
